These key members of our staff have undergone specific training, commonly known as PATS (Passenger Assistance Training Scheme), whereby they are aware of the legal, practical and safety issues surrounding the Passenger Assistance Role. They have also received training in how to meet the specific needs of certain passenger groups.
The Role of The Passenger Assistant deals with accompanying persons with:
·Specific disabilities.
·Children & young people with certain needs.
·Adults who require care and supervision.
PATS has also trained our staff to:
·Provide emergency aid if needed.
·Manually handle individuals in the correct way both onto and off any type of vehicle.
·Safely manage challenging behaviour.
